![]() ![]() This hardware-based open source project was founded in 2005 as a way to help spread the use of the tool among developers. There is enough for it to work, and better AI will probably come later. There are two sandbox games available: Endless Sky, which is a space exploration game, and Mindustry, which is a tower-defense game. I would say that it's just that AI hasn't been a priority compared to other parts of the game. Then it would be a lot easier to adjust those programs. Just make it possible to research some processors with simple, pre-made programs. Its not even something thats very hard to fix. (without learning a programming language though trial and error). Then i think it remains a valid point of criticism that some parts of the game dont work on their own. So basically it boils down to, you need dlc at the moment, to make your units do much of anything at the moment :D In the Campaign, launching into a sector. A careful balance of offensive and defensive procedures are vital to gameplay, and is key to determing success. Maps can be played with this gamemode if there is a non-player core, where the objective is to take down all enemy cores while protecting your own. So when ppl say here to use schematics, what they mean is to look in the workshop if someone already programmed a processor that does what you want (unit control) Attack is one of the main gamemodes in Mindustry, and the more common of the two in Erekir. This is rather complicated tho, since the processor programming is hard to debug, is somewhat lacking documentation and is in a rather unmanageable list form that never fully fits on screen^^ With the processors you can programm the unit behaviour, like for instance write code that tells your units to find and attack the strongest enemy The game has structures called "Processors", the first one gets unlocked somewhere mid game i think. What the others mean here is the following: Other player can upload their schematics to the workshop) Schematics are the premade blueprints (when you hold F you can mark an area, blueprint it and save it to an schematic to quickly build it somewhere else ![]()
